Summer relaxation at lakes and ponds
Lace up your boots or hop on your bike and explore the most beautiful lakes and ponds around Isarwinkel starting from our Hotel BERGEBLICK. One of our favourite tours leads past Lenggries and Lake Sylvenstein to Lake Achensee and Lake Tegernsee, and back to your holiday home.
Lake Achensee
Lake Achensee is situated between the Karwendel mountains to the west and the Brandenberg Alps to the east, and is therefore an amazing destination for the warmer months of the year. When you’re not busy sunbathing or swimming in this natural jewel, you can hike to Bärenkopf, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the sparkling and shimmering 6.8km2 lake. Embedded in the surrounding mountains, Lake Sylvenstein also offers unforgettable moments of amazement and quiet thanks to its vastness.
Lake Starnberg
Lake Tegernsee
Lake Tegernsee isn’t just one of the clearest and cleanest lakes in Bavaria (its water is of drinking quality), but it’s also incredibly warm: in summer, its water temperature averages a wonderful 20°C. A leisurely walk along the 20km lakeside promenade is as beautiful as a surfboard or a rowing boat trip. A boat tour of the lakes is also highly recommended. And an e-bike tour to Lake Tegernsee is another absolute highlight. A leisurely pace – stop for a break – return via Marienstein/Margarethenhof – via the Filzen Gaissach paths – along streams – a true delight.
Lake Walchensee & Lake Kochelsee
Lake Walchensee und Lake Kochelsee are situated south of Bad Tölz and are connected via Kesselberg.
While Lake Walchensee is a popular destination for sailors, windsurfers, and scuba divers, the picturesque Lake Kochelsee delights with its pedal and rowing boat rental. Guests appreciate the deep-blue water of both lakes.
Lake Sylvenstein
The Sylvenstein reservoir is an artificial lake situated on the road that connects Bad Tölz to Lake Achensee. It was built in the 1950s to protect the Isar valley from floods. Today, where a village once stood, one of Bavaria’s most famous bridges crosses the shimmering turquoise waters. If you want to enjoy more than just the view, we recommend a hike, a bike tour, or a refreshing swim during the warm season. And in winter? You can enjoy cross-country skiing, snowshoe hiking, and winter hiking on the surrounding mountains.
Lake Kirchsee
Lake Schliersee
Large Lake Schliersee isn’t only a nature reserve but also one the most beautiful mountain lakes in Bavaria. The picturesque promenade along its shore, dotted with chic cafés, invites you to take a round tour and have a break. If you prefer being on the water, we recommend sailing, a ride by electric boat or rowing boat, or a round trip on the liner.
